ミュージシャンであり、映像作家。
失われつつある映像メディアともいえるVHSテープを各地で収集し、それを素材にして音楽や映像の作品を作ることが多い。VHSの映像とピアニカを使ったライブパフォーマンスをするほか、映像ディレクターとしても数々のミュージシャンのMVやVJなども手掛ける。
近年では日本国内の様々な土地でフィールドワークを行いながらの作品制作や、個人宅に眠るプライベートなホームビデオのみを用いたプロジェクト「湖底」名義でのパフォーマンスも行っている。
2015年の2ndアルバム『世界各国の夜』以降はカクバリズムから音源作品リリースをするほか、国内外のレーベルからも多数の作品をリリースしている。
近作は日本各地で行ってきた滞在制作の記録をカセットテープと書籍にまとめたカセットブック作品『Revisit』(2024)や、6枚目のフルアルバム『NOISE FACE LANDSCAPE』(2026)など。

Musician and video director. Often collects VHS tapes—a video medium considered increasingly obsolete—from various locations, using them as source material for creating music and video works. Performs live using VHS footage and a melodica, while also directing music videos and VJ sets for numerous musicians. In recent years, he has been creating works while conducting fieldwork in various locations across Japan. He also performs under the name “湖底(Kotei)” a project exclusively using private home videos found in people’s homes. In June 2024, he released the cassette book work ‘Revisit,’ compiling records of his residency projects across Japan into a cassette tape and a 160-page book.
