カリフォルニアのベイエリアを拠点とするプロデューサー、DJ、マルチプレイヤー。
Barrio Lindo率いるShika Shika、NICKODEMUS率いるWonderwheel、Sol Selectas等のレーベルから多数の作品をリリースし、エレクトリック・フォルクローレやオーガニックハウス、ダウンテンポ界の新たな才能として注目を集めている。
「ボーダーレス・ビート」というスタイルを提唱し、各国で採集した民族音楽の記録やインスピレーションをフロア仕様のトライバルビートとして再構築、世界中のクラブやフェスを湧かせている。
　　近年ではベネズエラ出身のシンガーIrene Rosaliaをフィーチャーするほか、Lagartijeando、Mose、OVEOUS、Afrosideral、KR3TURE等と楽曲を制作。2024年には、マリやコロンビア、アルゼンチン、ハンガリーなどのミュージシャンと共作した最新アルバム「La Misma Fuente」をNYのWonderwheelから発表。
　今回は、彼が得意とするトランペットやパーカッションを使った生音ダウンテンポ〜アフロハウスsetで、催眠術的ロングプレイを美しい秋の京都へ響かせます。

Yemanjo is the globe-spanning project of producer, DJ, singer and musician Ben Harris. Raised in the rich culture of California’s Bay Area, Harris’ work is influenced by the world music styles he has encountered through his extensive travels.
　In a contemporary reality based on division and categorization, Yemanjo’s music aims to break down the borders that divide us as cultures and individuals, and honor the diversity of human expression through sound.
　Yemanjo’s sound is a dynamic fusion of downtempo and organic house beats with traditional sounds from Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. His unique live hybrid set features all-original music, harmonized vocals with Venezuelan singer Irene Rosalia, and his signature live trumpet and percussion.
　2024 saw the release of “La Misma Fuente”, an acclaimed full-length album on the NYC-based imprint Wonderwheel Recordings. Yemanjo is currently focused on self-releasing original music featuring Irene Rosalia as a singer and lyricist, as well as collaborations with artists like Mose, OVEOUS, Afrosideral, KR3TURE and many more.

中南米エレクトロの聖地としても知られているドミニカ共和国、サント・ドミンゴ出身。９０年代後半にDJを開始し、2001年〜03年にかけて “Ocho Puertas” のレジデントDJに抜擢。渡米後は、Carlos Menaが主催するマイアミやボストンのパーティー “Bembe” のレジデントを務めるなど、各都市で活躍し、2013年に自身のパーティー “House Of Pela”を開始し、各メディアで話題となる。Deep HouseのカリスマOsulade に、彼の音楽/スタイルを引き継ぐ弟分と指名され、様々な舞台で共演をしている。
　現在もDeep House/Afro Houseを代表するDJ として世界各国でパフォーマンスを続けながら、自身が代表を務める AFROBETA BODEGAを通して、プロデュース事業やポッドキャスト、オーガナイズを積極的に手掛けている。

Born in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Latin America’s new mecca for electronic music. Max’s DJ journey began in the late 90’s. From 2001 to 03 he was the headlining resident DJ at Ocho Puertas in Santo Domingo where he became a legend with the Underground House community. In 2006 he became resident to Carlos Mena’s BEMBE party in Miami and Boston. Max quickly broke through and started his own party HOUSE OF PELA in 2013 where he provided powerful collaboration with world class guest DJs.
Now he has become one of the top Artists that represents Deep House / Afro House and the god of Deep House, Osunlade, calls him his little brother who shares his style and love of music while successfully performing together in many occasions. Currently, Max continues to spread the culture of Deep House and Afro-Rooted Rhythms through performances, podcast, and producing events via AFROBETA BODEGA, his production company.

1996年生、2021年活動開始、生音派DJ。
京阪の音質の良いBarを好む。
大学生の頃に身を染めたUK Vintage Fashionから音楽の沼へ。50s,60sをルーツに持つ。
京都在住後に南米スロウテクノを筆頭にWorld Musicの洗礼を受け、現行ダンスミュージックのPartyにも出演し始める。
生音ではDonna Leake、数々の南米アーティストとの共演を重ねている。

京都在住。ハイブリッドラテンパーティ「Our Latin Way」主宰。
10代をハードコアやHipHopで過ごし、20代前半にトライバルテクノやブラックミュージックをキッカケに民族音楽の世界へ。
いつしかアフロキューバンに魅せられキューバに長期滞在、以来パーカッショニストとして経験を積みつつ、AfroでRockな選曲家&オーガナイザーとして活動中。

2019年春より、南米日本フューチャー・ミクスチャー・ダンス&レベルミュージックを発信する浪速のクンビアバンド「ROJO REGALO」に加入。

京都在住。映像作家。
連続する風景と光の幾何学での遊び方を模索しながら、情報媒体の構築を試みている。
過去に撮影した映像とその瞬間の出来事を捉えた映像をリアルタイムでリミックスし、ライブペインティング、ライブパフォーマンス、光や音などを重ね合わせることで、私自身に対する個人的な尋問を別の場所に投影している。いくつかのカメラやプロジェクターを使用することで、音楽とビデオが幻象的な体験を助長するような世界を再現している。
