今回は、日本のテクノ・ミュージック界で最も重要なアーティストの1人であるサワサキヨシヒロ、そして、京都からワールドワイドにリリースを続け、日本のエレクトロニカ～電子音楽シーンの第一人者として活躍する Ken'ichi Itoi を迎えてお送りします！
ベルギーのテクノ・ハウスのレジェンド・レーベル R&S Records や アンダーワールド、ホワイト・ストライプス、ステレオフォニックス等々のリリースなどで知られる V2 Recordsなど、ビッグ・レーベルから作品をリリース、日本のテクノ・オリジネーターとして、数々の傑作エレクトロニック・ミュージック作品を手掛け、クラブだけでなく、温泉、東京藝術大学、ジャズ・フェスなどでのライブやシンセサイザーについての講演会、勉強会、等々、現在も幅広い分野で活躍しているサワサキヨシヒロ。今回は、モジュラーシンセを用いた非常に独創的なテクノDJ setを披露してくれます。ダンサブルかつ実験的、まさに独自のプレイは必聴です！
そして、細野晴臣氏のレーベル・デイジーワールド・ディスクや自身のレーベル Shrine.jp から数々の先鋭的名作をリリース、近年は、RebootやJohnny Dのリリースで世界中のDJたちの支持を集めるドイツのレーベル Pleasure Zone、Ricardo Villalobos をはじめ著名アーティストの作品を数多くリリースするレーベル Rawax などからワールドワイド・リリース、日本のエレクトロニカ～電子音楽、ミニマル、マイクロ・ハウス・シーンの第一線で常に活躍する Ken'ichi Itoi が出演！ 特有のポリリズムとアヴァンギャルドさで新たなファンクネスを生み出し続け、圧倒的にミニマル、独自の解釈によるリズム構築、最初は複雑に思えるが中毒性があり抜け出せなくなるライブ・セットをぜひ堪能してください！
This time, we invite Yoshihiro Sawasaki—one of the most important artists in the Japanese techno music scene—and Ken'ichi Itoi, a leading figure in the Japanese electronica and electronic music scene who has been releasing music globally from Kyoto!
Our first guest is Yoshihiro Sawasaki, who has released numerous masterpieces of electronic music as the originator of techno in Japan, having released his works on big labels such as the famous Belgian Techno/House label R&S Records, and V2 Records, known for releases by Underworld, The White Stripes, Stereophonics and others , and he continues to be vigorous in a wide range of fields today—not only in clubs but also at hot springs, the Tokyo University of the Arts, Jazz festivals, lectures, workshops, and other events regarding synthesizers. This time, he will be playing a highly original Techno DJ set using modular synthesizers. Danceable and experimental, his unique style is a must-listen!
And, our other guest is Ken'ichi Itoi, who has consistently been at the forefront of the Japanese electronica, minimal, and micro-house scene. He has released numerous cutting-edge masterpieces through Haruomi Hosono's label, Daisyworld Discs, and his own label, Shrine.jp. In recent years, he has released music globally on labels such as Pleasure Zone—a German imprint that has garnered support from DJs worldwide through releases by artists like Reboot and Johnny D—and Rawax, which has dropped numerous works by renowned artists, including Ricardo Villalobos. Don't miss his machine live set—an experience defined by distinctive polyrhythms and an avant-garde spirit that constantly generates a fresh kind of Funkness. It is overwhelmingly minimal, built upon a unique approach to rhythm; while it may seem complex at first, the sound is utterly addictive and impossible to escape!

1990年代から活動する日本を代表するテクノ・オリジネイター。’94年、ベルギーの名門 R&S RecordsのAmbient DivisionであるAPOLLOより「MeditationYS」名義でシングルSlumber/Space Raceを発表後、数々のエレクトロニックミュージック作品をリリース。’99年末、東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ、FPM田中知之氏らと「SPEED KING」を結成。武道館を含む全国ツアーを行う。2000年、岡田眞澄/曽我部恵一/ギターウルフのセイジといった面々がゲスト参加したアルバム「Dr.YS & THE COSMIC DRUNKARS」を発表。進歩的な姿勢で壮大な電子音を構築し、集大成と言うに相応しい作品へと仕上げた。2004年”みうらじゅんin 東京ドーム郷土LOVE2004″で、音楽制作ならびに総合音楽プロデュース行う。2007年、温泉音楽ワークス「Naturally Gushing」プロジェクトを始動。温泉をテーマにした世界初の環境音楽＆映像集「Naturally Gushing DVD vol,1～3」を発表。
その一方、SMAPのシングル「スーパースター★」の作詞・作曲（ナイス橋本と共作）、橋幸夫歌唱＆みうらじゅん作詞による「ゆるキャラ音頭」の作曲など、各方面でマルチにその奇才ぶりを発揮する。 2019年、ワールドワイド・デビュー25周年記念として、1994年にリリースされた「PERFUMED GARDEN」（YS名義）、並びに1stアルバム「TRAVELLER’S LIGHT」（MUSHROOM NOW!名義）をリイシュー。
人気ストリーミング放送”DOMMUNE”で特集番組を組まれるなど、益々活動的である。2022年、最新作として、１４年ぶりで温泉音楽ワークス「Naturally Gushing vol.2」をリリース！
ミュージシャン、作曲家、DJ、リミキサー、等として活動する他、TV、ラジオ、雑誌の連載など各メディアにおいても幅広い分野に進出。縦横無尽に活動を続けるクラブ界のマルチ文化人として活躍している。 2024年、正式に復活をとげたテクノレーベル、TRANSONIC RECORDS 第一弾コンピレーションアルバム「TRANSONIC COMPACT DISC 01」に楽曲を提供。

Yoshihiro Sawasaki is a leading Japanese techno originator who has been active since the 1990s. In 1994, he released the single “Slumber/Space Race” under the name “MeditationYS” on APOLLO, the Ambient Division of the prestigious Belgian label R&S Records, and has since released numerous electronic music works. At the end of 1999, he formed “SPEED KING” with Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and Tomoyuki Tanaka of FPM, and they went on a nationwide tour, including a performance at the Budokan. In 2000, he released the album “Dr.YS & THE COSMIC DRUNKARS” on V2 Records, featuring guest appearances from Masumi Okada, Keiichi Sogabe, and Seiji of Guitar Wolf. He constructed a magnificent electronic soundscape with a progressive approach, creating a work truly worthy of being called a culmination of his work.
In 2004, he was in charge of music production and overall music production for “Jun Miura in Tokyo Dome Hometown LOVE 2004”. In 2007, he launched the Onsen Music Works “Naturally Gushing” project and released “Naturally Gushing DVD vol.1-3”, the world’s first collection of ambient music and videos themed around hot springs (Onsen).
On the other hand, he also demonstrated his eccentric talent in various fields, such as writing the lyrics and composing the single “Superstar★” by SMAP, who were Japan’s top idol group at the time (co-written with Nice Hashimoto), and composing “Yuru-chara Ondo,” sung by Yukio Hashi and with lyrics by Jun Miura. In 2019, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his worldwide debut, his 1994 release “PERFUMED GARDEN” (under the name YS) and his 1st album “TRAVELLER’S LIGHT” (under the name MUSHROOM NOW!) were reissued. He is becoming increasingly active, including having a special program dedicated to him on the popular streaming service “DOMMUNE.” In 2022, he released “Naturally Gushing vol.2,” his first Onsen music work in 14 years.
Yoshihiro Sawasaki is active as a musician, composer, DJ, remixer, and more, and has also ventured into a wide range of media, including TV, radio, and magazine serializations. Now he is a multi-talented cultural figure in the club scene, continuing to work freely across various fields.
In 2024, he contributed a track to “TRANSONIC COMPACT DISC 01,” the first compilation album from the officially revived techno label in Tokyo, TRANSONIC RECORDS.

Ken’ichi Itoi is an electronic musician known for his advanced grooves. He is the leader of the minimal polyrhythm collective PsysEx. He has produced many works and expressions, and recently has been releasing EPs on high-quality labels such as RAWAX (Germany) and Pleasure Zone (Germany).

様々なユニットを経て、2003年より関西を中心に活動を開始。テクノ、ハードミニマルのサウンドにアナログシンセ、ヴォーカル、メタルパーカッション等のライブパフォーマンスをおこない話題を集めてきたが、2014年よりシンセ・ニューウェイヴをコンセプトにキーボーディストのメンバーを加え、完全ヴォーカルスタイルの新生BODILとして活動を開始。現在まで、月数本のライブをコンスタントに休むことなく行っている。
2017年7月には、LIQUIDROOM13周年で電気グルーヴのオープニングアクトを務めた。2021年、レーベルTransmission KyotoからHölle und Himmel (TMDG001) をデジタル・リリース。2022年秋には、フルアルバム『KÖRPERKOMPLEX』を Rote Lippen Kyotoからリリースしている。

Ryoma Sasaki (Transit Records Kyoto)
90年代より関西を中心に本格的に音楽活動を開始。現在、主に、Live PA /Djとして活動中。2007年、チャートで上位を獲得し、ロングラン・ヒットを記録したカナダのレーベル・DirtyWorksからリリースされたアルバム”Calling of Amon”をかわきりにコンスタントに楽曲をリリース。そして、2011年より主宰Vinyl レーベル・Transit Records Kyotoをス タートさせた。ファースト・リリースとして、デトロイトのレジェンドDJの一人、Terrence Parkerの作品を、2013年にはレーベルの第2弾として、自身の作品”Transit EP” (Tagtrumer Remix収録)(TR-001)をリリースした。2015年には、Hiroshi Watanabe氏とのカップリングEP “The Bridge of Sounds EP”(TR-003)、2016年には、ベルリンのアーティストBee Lincolnとともに”Transition EP”(TR-004)、2017年6月、ベルリンの名門レーベルLebensfreudeのGunneとZuckermannのリミックスを収録た”Without End Hour EP(TR-005)”をリリース、Tyree CooperやGene FarrisといったレジェンドDj達からサポートを受けた。
2011年から現在に至るまで、計10回のドイツでのDJツアーを行い、テクノ・ミニマル系最高峰クラブのTresor.Berlinをはじめ、Wilde Renate、GoldenGate、Cookies、Ipse Berlin, Chalet等々、ベルリンの主要クラブに出演の他、フランクフルト、ハンブルグ、マンハイム等のクラブ、ハイデルベルク郊外の千人規模の山頂でのフェス等、幅広く出演している。さらに、2018年から毎年、オーストリアでもプレイし、ウィーン、グラーツ、リンツで公演している。こういった日本とドイツでの活動を通じ、ドイツのラジオ局に注目され、2014年、南西ドイツ放送(Südwestrundfunk)のプログラムで、自身とTransit Records Kyotoが取り上げられ約30分の番組として放送された。 2018年1月、名門レーベルTrenton Records主宰ReynoldのRemixを収録した”The Phase at Midnight EP”(TR-006)をリリース。2000 and Oneをはじめとした著名アーティストから高い評価を得ている。 そして、2020年 ”Journey in My Head” (TRDG004)、2021年 “String Vibrates” (TRDG005)、2024年5月 “Time to Rise High” (TRDG007)、同年8月には Hiroshi Watanabe とのカップリングEP “The Bridge of Sounds 2″をリリースしている。2025年2月には、シングル “An Entire Sky”(3曲収録)をリリース。

Ryoma is a track maker and DJ who is well known in the Japanese underground. He started his career as a musician in the early 90’s. He has had a lot of experience in a variety of underground bands as a guitarist and vocalist. He then started to participate in the club music scene playing live and DJing, and was nominated as a finalist of the Roland Groove Competition in 2000. He currently plays an active part in the Kansai scene, playing live and DJing in Kyoto and Osaka, and organizing the locally famous event Undermine at Kyoto’s legendary Club Metro. His strong livesets have an excellent reputation and he has played with prolific domestic and international artists including Juan Atkins aka Model 500, Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Terrence Parker, Laurent Garnier, Stefan Goldmann, Elektro Guzzi, Gunne&Zuckermann, DJ3000, Rennie Foster, Hiroshi Watanabe aka Kaito, Edward, Oskar Offermann and many more.
In 2009 he started to run his own record shop “Transit Records Kyoto” and as of next year started to run his own label, Transit Records Kyoto. The first release was Detroit legend Terrence Parker’s “Beautiful Life” with Ryoma’s remix and another Kyoto artist DJ Itoi (Ken’ichi Itoi). And the second release was his own title “Transit EP” including the remix by Tagträumer² (Black Fox Music/Rauschzeit). After it, He released Stefan Goldmann’s brilliant track “Empty Suit” for the 3rd release. The 4th release was the coupling EP with Hiroshi Watanabe (Kompakt/Transmat) and 5th release was the coupling EP with Bee Lincoln. In 2017, the 6th vinyl “Ryoma Sasaki – Without End Hour EP” including Gunne, Zuckermann’s remixes was released. It got the good supports from famous great Djs like Tyree Cooper and Gene Farris. Now the label is preparing Ryoma’s new work for the 8th vinyl release.
Until now, he did the Germany tour 10 times, and started Austria tour in 2018: played at many clubs: Tresor. Berlin, Wilde Renate, Golden Gate, Chalet, Cassiopeia, ipse.Berlin, Paloma, Molox Club, Mikz, Crack Bellmer, Silbergold, Café Koz, Konfuzius Franz, Kraniche Bei Den Elbbruecken, Kurzbar, Kaprowbar, Villa Nachttanz, Rhiz (Vienna), Schlot (Linz) etc…

京都をベースに地元密着型の各種パーティーを地道に展開、過去には自身のメインパーティーとして2000年代京都HOUSE/TECHNOシーンを代表するパーティーの一角を担った『STEREO SYSTEM』をWORLD/LAB.TRIBEにて主催。
その他、規模を問わず様々なパーティーへの出演で培われた経験を元に、これまでに世界中のトップアーティスト達と数多く共演。
ソリッドかつエッジの効いた楽曲とNEW WAVEや近年のElectro Technoサウンド等をMIXするスタイルで攻め続けているはず。
2016年に世代交流パーティー『TOTAL AGE』をMETROにて新たに立上げ、単純に楽しいだけで終わるのではなく世代がクロスオーバーしながら交流が生まれるパーティーを展開していく事で、クラブカルチャーを衰退させる事なくホンモノを絶やす事なく更なる拡大を期待すると共に、文化としての水準向上と、音楽 映像 空間 etc…の様々な分野のアーティストが出会い、また刺激し合いながら成長し合う事を願っている。イベントは嫌。パーティーが好。
