素晴らしい4周年記念イベントとサマーシーズンの幕開けに続き、BABALÚはハウスミュージック界で最も影響力のあるアーティストの一人を再び迎えることを誇りに思います。
7年ぶりに京都に戻ってきたOSUNLADEが、ディープ、ソウルフル、アフロ、スピリチュアル・ハウスを織り交ぜた、親密で一夜限りの旅へと皆様をご案内します。ヨルバ・レコードの先見の明を持つ創設者として、彼の音楽はリズム、文化、スピリチュアリティを融合させ、真に時代を超越したサウンドを生み出し、世界中のダンサー、DJ、プロデューサーの世代を超えてインスピレーションを与えてきました。
彼と共に登場するのは、BABALÚのレジデントであるMAX PELAとDMITRI ABSINTHE。オープニングセットはYUKARI BBが担当し、その洗練された選曲が、最初から最後まで忘れられない一夜を彩ります。

Following an incredible 4th Anniversary celebration and the launch of our summer season, BABALÚ proudly welcomes back one of the most influential artists in house music.
After seven years, OSUNLADE returns to Kyoto for an intimate, all-night journey through deep, soulful, Afro, and spiritual house. As the visionary behind Yoruba Records, his music has inspired generations of dancers, DJs, and producers around the world, blending rhythm, culture, and spirituality into a truly timeless sound.
Joining him are BABALÚ residents MAX PELA and DMITRI ABSINTHE, with an opening set by YUKARI BB, whose refined selections will set the tone for an unforgettable night from beginning to end.
Throughout the evening, enjoy food by HIGETACO and immersive décor by SEKKA, creating a unique atmosphere worthy of this special occasion.

Few artists have shaped the sound of deep house as profoundly as Osunlade. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he began his professional career as a teenager, composing music for Sesame Street before moving to Los Angeles, where he produced and collaborated with artists including Patti LaBelle, Freddie Jackson, Eric Benét, Musiq Soulchild and India.Arie.
In 1999, Osunlade founded Yoruba Records, creating a home for spiritually driven, soul-infused electronic music that has since become one of the world’s most influential independent dance music labels. Through timeless releases such as Closer I Get, Power to Conquer, Envision, Momma’s Groove, and acclaimed albums including Elements Beyond, Pyrography, A Man with No Past Originating the Future, Peacock, Aché, and his latest full-length INvite ONly, he has continually pushed the boundaries between house, jazz, soul, Afro-Latin rhythms and spiritual music.
Equally celebrated as a DJ, producer, musician and label visionary, Osunlade is renowned for deeply emotional, genre-defying sets that blend organic percussion, jazz, African rhythms and timeless house music into unforgettable musical journeys. More than two decades after founding Yoruba Records, he remains one of the most respected and influential artists in global electronic music.
MAX PELA (Afrobeta Bodega / BABALÚ)
中南米エレクトロの聖地としても知られているドミニカ共和国、サント・ドミンゴ出身。９０年代後半にDJを開始し、2001年〜03年にかけて “Ocho Puertas” のレジデントDJに抜擢。渡米後は、Carlos Menaが主催するマイアミやボストンのパーティー “Bembe” のレジデントを務めるなど、各都市で活躍し、2013年に自身のパーティー “House Of Pela”を開始し、各メディアで話題となる。Deep HouseのカリスマOsulade に、彼の音楽/スタイルを引き継ぐ弟分と指名され、様々な舞台で共演をしている。
現在もDeep House/Afro Houseを代表するDJ として世界各国でパフォーマンスを続けながら、自身が代表を務める AFROBETA BODEGAを通して、プロデュース事業やポッドキャスト、オーガナイズを積極的に手掛けている。
Born in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Latin America’s new mecca for electronic music. Max’s DJ journey began in the late 90’s. From 2001 to 03 he was the headlining resident DJ at Ocho Puertas in Santo Domingo where he became a legend with the Underground House community. In 2006 he became resident to Carlos Mena’s BEMBE party in Miami and Boston. Max quickly broke through and started his own party HOUSE OF PELA in 2013 where he provided powerful collaboration with world class guest DJs.
Now he has become one of the top Artists that represents Deep House / Afro House and the god of Deep House, Osunlade, calls him his little brother who shares his style and love of music while successfully performing together in many occasions. Currently, Max continues to spread the culture of Deep House and Afro-Rooted Rhythms through performances, podcast, and producing events via AFROBETA BODEGA, his production company.
DMITRI ABSINTHE
カフェアブサンのオーナーでもあるディミトリはロシア生まれ。彼のDJ経歴は2003年の来日まで住んでいたイスラエルの17年前に始まります。ソールとファンクからディスコやハウスとテクノまで、彼のプレイスタイルは幅広く、Sven Väth、John Digweed, Darren Emerson, Ritchie Hawtin, Mark Knight, Dave Seaman, Patrick Topping, Prok & Fitch, M.A.N.D.Y, Mathias Kaden, Nick Curly, Audiojack, Steve Bug など、Top DJたちとも競演してきました。
Dmitri Absinthe, originally from Russia currently lives in Osaka. His DJ career started 17 years ago in Tel Aviv, where he lived before moving to Japan. In his sets he combines various musical genres focusing on Deep, Soulful and at times Trancy, Hypnotic Groove.

Dance Music Recordのバイヤーとしてキャリアを積む傍らDJ活動をスタートした後イギリスへ渡英。帰国後イギリスのオンライン・レコー ドストア、Juno Recordsの日本支部を7年間務めた後、京都へ拠点を移す。近年では精力的に海外へ活動の幅を広げ、’19には香港でのShi Fu Miz Festivalにて”BoilerRoom”への出演も果たす。’20年よりJazzy Sport Kyoto、’21年よりイタリアのSounds Familiarに所属。京都拠点のクリエイティヴ・チーム、Kyoto Jazzy Creative Councilのメンバーとしても活動中。
